Data from Escape Travel Card shows that visits to renowned fashion destinations such as Paris, Milan and New York during Fashion Week season increase by an average of 76% when compared with monthly averages for the rest of the year.
Card spend data also shows that holidaymakers are spending 86% more at fashion retailers during this period compared with the rest of the year, inspired by what they see on the catwalk and taking it as the chicest excuse for a city break.
